Whether you'd like to discuss landscape architecture, research, climate adaptation or simply share an interesting place, I'd love to hear from you!

I’m Sonia, I see landscapes as living systems.

🌊 Observe 📍 Analyse 🌱 Design

I'm a Graduate Landscape Architect passionate about creating places where people, ecology and climate can thrive together. My work combines environmental research, spatial analysis and technical delivery to create landscapes that are resilient, buildable and meaningful.

I enjoy working across the full design process, from site observation and evidence gathering to concept development, planting design and construction detailing. Rather than treating research as a separate task, I use it to inform every design decision.

Beyond the studio, I explore landscapes through travel, photography and sketching. Walking the Jurassic Coast, visiting botanical gardens and documenting changing environments continually shape the way I observe, think and design.

I'm excited to contribute to multidisciplinary landscape teams in the UK and also around the world. I'm constantly collecting observations through projects, travel and everyday life because I believe the best landscape architects never stop learning from places.

My Approach

I believe landscape architecture is most effective when research, spatial analysis and technical delivery work together. My projects begin with understanding environmental systems and social needs, then translate evidence into practical, buildable design solutions. Every project on this website demonstrates not only what I designed, but how each decision was informed.

How I Think

What makes your approach different?

I see landscape architecture as a continuous process rather than a series of separate stages. From site observation and environmental evidence to concept development, technical detailing and long-term stewardship, I aim to understand how every design decision influences the life of a place. This allows me to contribute across multiple project stages while keeping the overall vision connected.

Why do you enjoy climate adaptation projects?

How do you balance creativity with technical delivery?

What do you bring to a multidisciplinary team?

What kind of landscape architect do you hope to become?
